"Nayi
Brahmins" are devotes of Lord
DANVANTARI god. Danvantari is the 13th avatar of lord VISHNU and Nayi-Brahmins
started ever since 1881 census in AP; they are traditionally VAISHNAVAS and are
found in many other parts of the India too. The main reason why they are
called Nayi - Brahmin is, in Ancient days they are called Nyaya Brahmin and it
became Nayi -Brahmin. It is because they are simultaneously
participating with Brahmins in all important events like Marriages, all
occasions related to temple etc., So they have equal importance with Brahmin in
human life. They were professionals in ayurvedic and traditional medicine, and
treated patients according to the traditional ayurveda physicians . In ancient
days all these people used to wear threads which they stopped and only few
families are following these custom. But now a days they are also known as Mangali (Who
wishes good things).

emotional) be cultivated and strengthened for my own healing and for healing
others.
Dhanvantari (Sanskrit: धन्वन्तरि) is an Avatar of Vishnu from the Hindu tradition. He appears in
the Vedas and Puranas as the physician of the gods (devas), and the god of
Ayurvedic medicine. It is common practice in Hinduism for worshipers to pray to
Dhanvantari seeking his blessings for sound health for themselves and/or others. According to Hindu mythology Lord
Dhanvantari emerged from the ocean of milk with a pot of Amrita when it was
churned by Gods and Demons.
